Collect all five and the star will be made visible. Like I said, it's easier with Mario because he can fly so yo ucan move him mid-air, but I did it with yoshi, you just have to figure out where to aim. The fifth is about two inches above the top coin of the first ring. For the fourth you need to aim just below the top coin of the first ring. For the first three rings they're pretty much in a row so aim at the center coin of the first ring, maybe just slightly above it for the third coin. Two rings are hard to see because they're far in the distance, but trial and error will get you there eventually. There are five rings in total, so you have to get five center coins. You HAVE to get the coin in the middle of the ring. Now, there is a cannon on the floating island, and you have to shoot Yoshi (or whoever you have) at these coin rings. When you fire him into the tree he will grab it. The easiest way is the cannon almost at the top of the mountain where you fought the bomb king, you can point it a little above the tree in the floating island. Anything and everything that relates or pertains to Super Mario 64. Then you have to get up to the floating island. You need to look up at the ceiling in the center of the castle by the entrance to complete the secret level that allows all red blocks to become usable, using Mario by the way not any other character.
